(headquarters in Shibuya-ku; CEO Daiu Ko; hereafter “Kudan”), an artificial perception research and development company, announced today that Artisense GmbH (Kudan’s group company, hereafter “Artisense”）has participated in “<a href="https://www.erasmo-gnss.eu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ERASMO</a>* (Enhanced Receiver for Autonomous Mobility)”, a project funded by <a href="https://www.euspa.europa.eu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">EUSPA</a> (European Union Agency for the Space Programme).<br />

<p>This funded project aims at developing an on-board positioning device enabling fully autonomous driving. This project is being carried out by a consortium comprising of Renault, IDNEO, GMV-ITS, GMV-AD, VVA, Septentrio, CNRS-UTC.</p>

<p>Artisense plays a critical role in the project by contributing visual-based positioning and sensor fusion technology to augment GNSS data when its performance deteriorates in certain environments, such as urban canyons, tunnels, and roofed areas.</p>
<p>This multi-phased project is planned to be completed in May 2023 and will involve the development and optimization of Artisense’s technology to provide the information required by the high integrity navigation and the SW management modules. More details and progress of the project will be shared as the development work advances.</p>
