Kudan announces the establishment of new subsidiary companies in Hong Kong, China, and Japan

〜Expanding its operations in Asia & promoting and developing its deep tech ecosystem〜
Kudan Inc. (headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Managing Director Tomo Ohno) is pleased to announce that at its board of directors meeting held on September 13, 2019, it has decided to establish subsidiary companies in Hong Kong and Mainland China in order to expand its operations in the Asian market. In addition, a new subsidiary will be formed in Japan in order to focus on accelerating the development of various products, solutions, and other projects related to the field of artificial perception.
【Subsidiary Objectives】
Kudan is at the forefront of the field of deep tech and artificial perception research and development. In order to augment these efforts as well as strengthen the technology’s applications for society, it has decided to establish a base in the Asian market by forming local subsidiary companies in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Furthermore, a new subsidiary will be formed in Japan in order to create products, solutions, and other projects that are based on Kudan’s technology and expand upon its partnerships in various related fields. With the creation of these subsidiary companies, Kudan will be better positioned to continue developing the applications and reach of its technology, as well as its uses within society.
The business fields and purpose of each subsidiary are as follows:
– China: Expansion of the Kudan SLAM business in the Chinese mainland
– Hong Kong: Establishment of business operations in the Asian region
– Japan: Creation of products and businesses based on computer vision technology
