Kudan and Ouster to host an interactive workshop on lidar SLAM

(headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO Daiu Ko, hereafter “Kudan”) is excited to announce that Ouster, a leading provider of high-resolution digital lidar sensors, will be hosting a webinar, Zero to SLAM in 30 minutes, with Kudan based around its recent launch of their joint Lidar SLAM Evaluation Program. The webinar will discuss how lidar SLAM works, and how it can benefit your product solution, and ultimately provide a walkthrough to set up lidar SLAM from scratch in 30 minutes on a ROS-based platform.

Lidar sensors provide an incredible amount of information about their surroundings and is becoming increasingly a sensor of choice when safety and accuracy matter in autonomous vehicles and robots, as well as mapping and surveying applications. However, providing an accurate and continuous spatial awareness for these devices has always been a challenge. Kudan’s Lidar SLAM has been designed to use Ouster lidar to quickly and easily integrate into your ROS (The Robot Operating System) based systems, to build a point cloud map and provide accurate and robust localization (position and pose within the point cloud) of your device.

The interactive webinar will guide the audience through the basics of lidar SLAM, setting up the software from scratch to getting started with running lidar SLAM, and discuss how to effectively evaluate SLAM.

The webinar will be held on September 14, 2021, at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET.
