Artisense demonstrates its lane-level positioning capability for automotive AR Navigation application together with NNG and HERE Technologies

Artisense, a Kudan Group company, working with NNG and HERE have created a demo for the next leap in AR navigation experience in automotive. It’s a demo for now, but we can’t wait to see this type of experience in all cars in the future – not just for human drivers, but autonomous vehicles as well.

The test vehicle is equipped with a simple GNSS receiver, and a stereo-inertial camera system, and uses map data and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology to understand and navigate through its environment, and create this powerful visualization.

NNG, creator of next-generation navigation experiences, using map information from HERE Technologies, and the intelligent lane level 6DoF (degrees-of-freedom) positioning capabilities from Artisense, showed off their eye-opening demo in a real road and highway scenario.

Highlights

Artisense (6DoF location and positioning through SLAM)

●Simple low-cost hardware solution utilizing only a stereo-inertial camera, and a standard GNSS receiver.
No INS or Lidar. All powered by Artisense’s leading edge SLAM software.

●No impact on location accuracy from other vehicles, people, and objects
